RICE CEREAL

On Saturday, we gave Parker his first taste of rice cereal. More got on him than in him, but overall i think it went well. He had some pretty funny facial expressions - i'm not sure if it was from the taste or the fact that we were putting something in his mouth. We went to the Dr. on Thursday for a shot and Parker is now just over 17 lbs. So, he has doubled his birth weight.

CAR SEAT

I just bought his new car seat on ebay. The colors are so fun. It has these great strap holders on the sides so you don't have to dig from under your baby to get to them. And it has a reclining feature for naps. I think we will like it a lot.

4 MONTH CHECKUP

Parker had his 4 month checkup a month ago now. Nothing like up-to-date information from me, huh? Here were his stats: weight: 16 lbs (70%ile) ; height: 27 in. (95%ile). He is growing so fast. He's been a lot more distracted while eating lately, which sometimes can drive me a little crazy. He's so much more aware of his surroundings, and he's been getting bored more easily. I pulled out some new toys for him today, so hopefully that will help some.

BEACH TRIP

Parker and i went to Seaside, FL with some of my friends and their kids this past week. It was hard at times to care for him by myself, but it was fun to get away.
